02 Applied Mathematics
It mainly engages in the research on modeling, analysis, integrability, symmetry and application of nonlinear systems in the fields of water waves, physics, oceanography, finance and optics, forming a research team with reasonable structure and many excellent young and middle-aged teachers. It has completed a series of high-level work on nonlinear waves and their applications, nonlinear integrable systems, symmetry of nonlinear systems, and application of partial differential equations. A number of high-quality papers have been published in ARMA, JFA, JMPA, Nonlinearity and Calc PDEs and other journals, and drew a lot of attention by peers at home and abroad with widely cited. The direction is also committed to interdisciplinary research, developing mathematical methods to solve relevant practical problems, such as mathematical problems in marine disasters, and serving local economic construction. The postgraduates trained in recent 5 years have published more than 40 high-level papers.
