In order to introduce high-quality educational resources from the United States, improve the level of schooling, and cultivate modern risk management and insurance actuarial majors with international standards, Ningbo University has negotiated with Middle Tennessee State University of the United States on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.
In August 2012 both parties signed the "Agreement on the Undergraduate Education Project of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics in Cooperation between Ningbo University, China and Middle Tennessee State University, USA". This project was approved by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education in 2012 and filed by the National Ministry of Education, and officially enrolled in September 2013. Under the leadership and supervision of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, in strict accordance with the "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools" and the "Implementation Measures of the People's Republic of China on Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools", the two parties have worked together on enrollment, student status, training and curriculum systems. Carry out scientific and standardized management.
This project actively explores the talent training model, gradually optimizes and perfects the training plan, and achieves a seamless connection with the training model of Middle Tennessee State University of the United States. The training program is uniformly formulated in accordance with the requirements of Ningbo University and has a detailed teaching plan. After completing the corresponding credit requirements, students can obtain a bachelor of science degree and a bachelor degree from Ningbo University. Meeting the foreign credit requirements may obtain a Bachelor of Science degree from MTSU.
Currently there are totally 151 students in the project, that 39 in Grade 2018, and 37 in Grade 2019, 37 in Grade 2020 and 38 in Grade 2021.
