On December 27th, a symposium for graduate supervisors was held in Room 102 of Building 9. Distinguished Dean Qu Changzheng, Party Secretary Huo Yan, deputy Party Secretary Jiang Ping, and graduate supervisors attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by He Hongjin, member of the School Party Committee.
Dean Qu Changzheng announced the good news that the verification of doctoral degree program in discipline level A of mathematics has been successfully passed by Mathematics Discipline Evaluation Group of MOE, and he expressed recognition for the efforts of all the supervisors. Meanwhile, corresponding requirements were put forward for the construction of the graduate curriculum system and talent cultivation based on the Verification Opinions on the Authorization for the Doctoral Program in Mathematics.
Opinions were solicited on the revision of graduate scholarship documents during the symposium. Deputy Secretary Jiang Ping and Party Committee member He Hongjin introduced the revision of the document to everyone, and the attendees had a thorough discussion on the evaluation conditions, work procedure, and other aspects of the scholarship. After the symposium, the integrate feasible opinions would be sorted out to further improve the system of graduate scholarship evaluation, play the role of graduate scholarship funding in educating students, motivate graduate students to study hard and devote themselves to scientific research, to get promoted in comprehensive qualities and self-perfection.
This symposium has played an important role in strengthening the construction of graduate curriculum system, improving the quality of graduate education, and constructing master and doctoral programs.
