On February 28, 2023, a delegation of Li Guoping, Director of the Academic Affairs Office of Ningbo University, and Lin Bo, Hu Lianggen, Zhou Gangyi, Deputy Director of the Office, visited the School to investigate and exchange undergraduate teaching and continuous education. Xu Song, Associate Dean of the School, presided over the meeting, and Qu Changzheng, Distinguished Dean, He Hongjin, Assistant Dean, Shen Yan and He Weiting from the School’s Academic Affairs Office, and Wang Songbo, Secretary of the Office of Continuous Education and Local Services, attended the meeting.
Distinguished Dean Qu Changzheng warmly welcomed the arrival of the delegation, and briefly introduced the achievements of the School in discipline construction and talent cultivation, as well as the current shortcomings. Later, Mr. He Hongjin and Mr. Xu Song reported the operation of continuous education and undergraduate teaching. The two sides conducted further discussions on the problems existing in continuous education, undergraduate teaching management, practical teaching, teachers' teaching skills and academic competitions, and identified the direction and objectives for reforms to move forward.
Li Guoping, on behalf of the Academic Affairs Office of the University, said that he would strengthen the top-level design and system construction in teaching and fully support the work of the School of Mathematics and Statistics in undergraduate teaching, continuous education and talent cultivation. Qu Changzheng also expressed that he would actively promote the School's work in teaching and talent cultivation, and strive to make new breakthroughs in public curriculum construction, teaching achievements, talent cultivation and other aspects.
