On November 5, the inaugural conference of SMS Financial Alumni Association, NBU and the donation ceremony of the "Empowerment Fund" were held in Building No. 9 of Baoyushu Square. The School’s leadership, Dong Zhuo, deputy executive secretary of the School Alumni Office, and more than 50 representatives of alumni, teachers and students of the School attended the conference. It was presided over by Jiang Ping, deputy secretary of the School Party Committee.
Professor Qu Changzheng, the distinguished dean, warmly welcomed the alumni and guests attending the inaugural conference, and introduced the achievements of the school in scientific research, talent cultivation, faculty, etc. in recent years. He said that the School has sent a large number of talents to the financial industry and the alumni have made important contributions to the development of the industry and social economy, and won honors for their alma mater as well. Meanwhile he also expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the alumni who have cared and supported the development of the school for a long time.
Yan Zheng, president of SMS Alumni Association, introduced the preparations for the preparatory meeting of the Financial Alumni Branch. According to statistics, the alumni of the financial industry graduated from our school are all over the banking, securities, insurance and other industries, making their own contributions to the local economic construction.
The conference voted to approve the Articles of the Alumni Branch of SMS, NBU (draft), and passed the list of candidates recommended as the members of the first organization. Ye Shubin was elected as the president of the first SMS Financial Alumni Association.

Ye Shubin expressed her joy at the establishment of SMS Financial Alumni Association and the honor of being elected president. She said she would actively perform her duties, lead the alumni to run the financial alumni branch with industry characteristics, and build a new platform for alumni development, to achieve the two-way empowerment of alumni and alma mater.

Aiming at gathering love and building the future together, the donation ceremony of the "Empowerment Fund" was held as the second agenda. First of all, deputy secretary Jiang Ping introduced the donation and uses of the fund. The "Empowerment Fund" is the general name of all the funds that SMS receives from external donations. It is named "empowerment", which is intended to endow the subject with certain abilities and energy, hoping to both empower the alumni and the alma mater, and promote the two-way development.
Qu Changzheng awarded representatives of the donation with certificates and thanks. In the past year, the majority of alumni have expressed their concern, care and support for the school through donations and other ways since the establishment of the alumni association, which has added new impetus to the development of the school's various undertakings. The SMS Alumni Association will also make good use of each donation with the wishes of the donor enterprises and individuals, so as to maximize its effectiveness and influence.
