On November 7, the leadership of the School of Mathematics and Statistics,NBU, visited Dongfang Institute of Technology for investigation and exchange. Qu Changzheng,specially-engaged president, Yu Jinbo, secretary of the Party Committee of the School,Jiang Ping,deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Xu Song,associate president of the School attended the investigation and were welcomed by Zheng Chunmiao, associate president of Dongfang Institute of Technology, and associate Professor Yang Yongchao.
On the exchange panel, Zheng Chunmiao introduced the progress of the establishment of the four discipline boards of science, engineering, informatics and business. For Qu’s part, he introduced the history, situation of talent cultivation, faculties, discipline construction and scientific research of the SMS,NBU. The two sides exchanged views on fund application, postgraduate enrollment, development of discipline orientation and talent introduction, etc., and discussed the possibility of joint talent cultivation and interdisciplinary construction. Both sides expressed the intentions of strengthening ties, learning from each other, seeking to create more cooperation opportunities, and constantly expanding the exchanges and cooperation to a level and extent.
