报告摘要：With its origin in Weil's representation theoretic formulation of the theory of Ɵ-series, the theta correspondence, introduced and expounded by R. Howe, has been a major method of constructing automorphic forms of groups over number fields, or admissible representations of groups over local fields. In this lecture, I will give a brief introduction to its local theory and outline some of the key applications towards unitary representation theory.
报告人简介：朱程波教授（Prof. Chengbo Zhu）， 浙江宁波人， 1990年博士毕业于耶鲁大学。 现任新加坡国立大学数学系讲座教授，前新加坡数学会理事长。主要从事实李群表示论的研究，在theta对应理论和典型群重数一猜想做出了巨大贡献，与孙斌勇合作，彻底解决了在阿基米德域情形的典型群无穷维表示的重数一猜想，相关研究成果发表在国际著名杂志Annals. Math. 和J. Amer. Math. Soc.上。2014年当选新加坡国家科学院院士， 2022年国家数学家大会（ICM）45分钟报告人。
